An outline application has been lodged for Cambridge 25, a proposed employment park near A14 junction 25 between Bar Hill and Northstowe.
The scheme targets logistics, advanced manufacturing and mid-tech occupiers, with Lolworth saying it could create about 2,900 jobs and include a community hub, café and other ancillary uses.
Nearly half the site would be set aside for green infrastructure, including a new nature park, alongside a pledged biodiversity net gain of more than 20% and buildings aiming for net-zero carbon standards.
Two public consultations in autumn 2025 and spring 2026 helped shape the plans, which also include two new A1307 access points and upgraded A14 connections backed by environmental and transport assessments.
Greater Cambridge Shared Planning Service will process the application for district council determination; if approved, initial site works are planned for autumn 2027 and main construction for 2028.
