Summary
Daniel Siad, 69, was found dead Monday at his home in Colombes near Paris, and prosecutors said an autopsy will determine the cause of death.
DOJ files place the French model recruiter deep in Jeffrey Epstein’s orbit, showing Epstein paid him tens of thousands of dollars and that Siad’s name appears more than 2,000 times in the records.
Those files include messages in which Siad sent Epstein photos and descriptions of young women and sought a “good looking young assistant”; in one exchange, Epstein rejected a woman as “too old.”
Siad recently told CNN he trusted Epstein, believed he was a legitimate casting director, and had no reason to think two women he recommended were abused.
His death comes as Paris prosecutors review information tied to Siad in a criminal probe into Epstein’s modeling-industry links; Siad also denied a separate rape accusation dating to 1990.
