BK Westbrook said his May appearance on AEW "Collision" marked his first chance to wrestle on the show, after previously doing background extra work.
Just over 1 minute against Mike Bailey gave the North Carolina independent wrestler a national TV showcase, even though he competed under the single name "Westbrook."
Westbrook said familiarity with people in AEW and past independent-show history with Bailey made the opportunity especially meaningful.
In August, Westbrook is set to face Epidemiyus Jr. at Pandemonium Pro's "JoJo" event, a fundraiser for the family of wrestler Jordan Saint, who died in a car crash.
