Vicious Vicki said her spot in TNA’s inaugural Knockouts TV Championship tournament marked her first real chance to showcase herself on a bigger stage.
Tommy Dreamer helped open the door, she said, after about 3 to 4 years of taking smaller TNA opportunities and earning trust.
Only 2 independent women’s wrestlers were included in the field, Vicki said, calling her selection alongside Gabby Forza proof that years of work had paid off despite her loss to Indi Hartwell.
TNA introduced the new belt at Slammiversary, and Vicki said the company can outlast current fan criticism because it has already survived worse downturns.
For now, Vicki said TNA is where she wants to be, even as she still hopes one day to make a WrestleMania entrance.
