July 21-27, Pokémon GO will run its Ultra Unlock: 10th Anniversary Edition, ramping catch XP from 6× to 8× to 10× across three event phases.
Nine starter Pokémon from three regions will rotate into wild spawns every two days, while party-hat raid bosses and a new Professor Willow’s assistant Pikachu debut with chances for Shiny or team-specific backgrounds.
US$4.99 Masterwork Research grants access to Shiny Shaymin, and a free GO Pass starts July 21 with rank rewards; paid Deluxe tiers cost $4.99 or $6.99 for faster progression and extra items.
The event also brings legacy starter attacks through evolution, free Professor Willow avatar items, Field Research, stickers, and a temporary removal of the daily GO Points cap from July 25-27.
Niantic is framing the weeklong rollout around Pokémon GO’s 10th anniversary and Professor Willow’s birthday, combining gameplay bonuses with new monetized progression and research offers.
