Gartner rates agentic AI as “Transformational,” with 5% to 20% market penetration and “Emerging” maturity, while saying the technology remains at the hype-cycle peak amid strong interest and confusion.
XMPro tied the designation to its APEX orchestration layer, MAGS multi-agent framework and StreamDesigner integrations with SCADA, PLC, historian and ERP systems for governed industrial deployment.
Gartner also warned of “agent washing” by vendors relabeling assistants, RPA tools and chatbots, and urged buyers to strengthen composability, governance, data management and security controls.
