Probably yes, but it is not confirmed. The strongest reporting says Apple’s first foldable iPhone is still on track to debut in September alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has reported that timing, and other signs support it: references in the iOS 27 developer beta to features such as “foldState” and “mechanicalAngleDegrees” suggest Apple is preparing software for a foldable device. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also pointed to production beginning in 2026, which fits a late-2026 launch. That said, the foldable is not a lock for the iPhone 18 Pro event. Gurman has also cautioned that the schedule is not final and that production had not fully ramped up. Reports from Nikkei Asia, DigiTimes and some leakers have pointed to engineering issues, yield problems and a slight production lag, all of which could push the device back. So the best answer is that a September unveiling with the iPhone 18 Pro is plausible and currently the leading expectation, but it would not be a true certainty or a complete surprise. Apple has not announced the product, and supply-chain risks remain. By contrast, the iPhone 18 Pro itself appears much more firmly on course for fall, with expected headline upgrades in camera hardware, battery life and a smaller Dynamic Island. The foldable remains the more tentative part of Apple’s fall hardware picture.
