Garmin Rolls Out Forerunner 28.05 to 5 Watches, Reaching 20% With Up to 10 Fixes

Software Version 28.05 is now shipping globally to five older Forerunner models, with Garmin saying the stable release has reached about 20% of eligible watches so far.
Up to 10 changes land on the Forerunner 955 and 965, while the 255 and 265 get 8 and the 165 gets 7; all models receive activity and workout improvements.
Key fixes address failed activity uploads to Garmin Connect, missing or duplicated race events, mismatched Garmin Run Coach week numbers, one-step workout previews and display settings not applying from Garmin Connect Mobile.
The 955 and 965 also get fixes for crashes when saving activities after course navigation and for China OSM maps, while the 255, 265, 955 and 965 gain a Schwinn pairing fix.
The update follows Version 27.09 released nearly four months ago and a single v28.03 beta, with wider availability expected in the coming days.
