Xiaomi Adds AirDrop Support to HyperOS 3 Quick Share on 17T Pro

HyperOS 3 now lets Xiaomi users send and receive files and contacts through Apple’s AirDrop, with Xiaomi confirming the feature on X and specifically citing the Xiaomi 17T Pro.
The update extends Android 16’s cross-platform Quick Share push, aimed at removing a long-standing barrier between Android and iPhone users for faster local transfers.
iPhone recipients must set AirDrop visibility to “Everyone for 10 Minutes” for the handoff to work, regardless of whether the sender is already in their contacts.
Google and Samsung already rolled out the same AirDrop-compatible Quick Share feature, and Oppo Find X9 Ultra and Vivo X300 Ultra have recently added support as adoption widens.
