June 2026 security updates are set to reach eligible Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO devices this week, with the first wave likely hitting flagship and upper-midrange models before broader regional expansion.
Google’s June bulletin fixed critical Android Framework and System flaws, including CVE-2025-48595, a high-severity privilege-escalation bug that it said may already be under limited, targeted exploitation.
The fuller 2026-06-05 patch level matters most for Xiaomi devices because it adds kernel and vendor fixes beyond core Android, covering Qualcomm, MediaTek, Unisoc and Imagination PowerVR components.
Xiaomi’s OTA notes may mention only a June 2026 patch, stronger security and stability, but the update also targets remote and local privilege escalation, denial-of-service, information disclosure and some code-execution risks.
