Summary
District Court of Western Australia heard Yung Filly testify Monday that the "vibes were good" with the woman who accuses him of rape after his 2024 nightclub performance in Hillarys.
Barrientos, 30, denied six counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count of strangulation, telling jurors he only put his hand on the woman's waist.
The rapper said he had "fancied" the then-20-year-old when they met at the venue and said his security guard took her phone at the hotel as a standard privacy measure.
Prosecutors allege the pair initially had consensual sex before Barrientos turned violent and ignored her requests to stop in his Perth hotel room in September 2024.
Barrientos has pleaded not guilty, remained on bail after being charged and returned to Western Australia for a trial that began last week.
