Nine years in prison was imposed on former River City actor Iain Robertson after he was convicted of five offences, including rape, sexual assault and domestic abuse involving women between 2004 and 2019.
Glasgow's High Court heard one woman, who knew Robertson through work on River City, said he raped her after she had made clear she wanted their relationship to return to being platonic.
Witnesses described the 45-year-old as violent and controlling, and Lady Drummond said his conduct left the victims with anxiety, fear, flashbacks and lasting problems with trust and safety.
Robertson, of Carbeth in Stirlingshire, was placed on the sex offenders' register and will remain under supervision for three years after his release.
