Storm Emeralda’s full card-list reveal on July 31 helped confirm the card’s role in Delta Reign, where Split Stadiums are a headline mechanic built from two matching halves.
That design could limit its impact: players must hold both halves to play the Stadium, unlike Path to the Peak, which could be run as four standalone copies.
Evolution-heavy decks could still feel immediate pressure, since many current Standard strategies rely on Ability-based engines, including Dragapult ex through Drakloak’s Recon Directive.
The card is already shaping up as a major Standard-format talking point for players who have wanted a Path to the Peak replacement since that Stadium rotated out.
