In the U.S., that means expanded access is likely to start at the 200GB plan for $2.99 a month, with 2TB at $9.99, 6TB at $29.99, and 12TB at $59.99. Apple One subscribers are also widely expected to qualify, though Apple has not fully detailed that either. There is a separate, clearer requirement for some AI-powered Home features: HomeKit Secure Video summaries and related Home intelligence features require at least the 2TB iCloud+ plan, along with a Home hub and an Apple Intelligence-capable device. So the hidden limit remains exactly that — hidden. The clearest pricing signal so far is that lifting or expanding those caps will likely require an iCloud+ subscription above the entry-level tier, probably starting at $2.99 per month in the U.S., but Apple has not formally confirmed the threshold or the actual usage numbers.

iOS 27 expands iCloud across Home, Photos, Siri, Journal and Passwords, with the biggest upgrade bringing AI-generated HomeKit camera summaries, searchable event descriptions and multi-camera activity pairing.
Those Home features require iCloud+ at 2TB or higher—starting at $9.99 a month in the U.S.—plus a home hub and an Apple Intelligence-capable iPhone such as the iPhone 15 Pro or newer.
