City officials delayed Thursday’s community listening session on the Madison police shooting and said a new date and time will be announced.
The session had been set for 5 p.m., but was moved to accommodate a vigil scheduled for the same time.
Common Council President Sabrina Madison had planned to host the meeting, with city leaders including Police Chief John Patterson expected to attend.
The postponement follows Wednesday’s near-east side shooting, when police said a man armed with a knife injured 1 of 4 officers trying to detain him before an officer killed him.
