For buyers in Latin America who want a distinctive design, rear-camera selfies, notifications on the back, NFC, IP64 protection, expandable storage, and a headphone jack, that is real value. It also ships with Android 16, which helps at launch. The problem is that the rest of the package is modest even by current budget standards. Its 6.67-inch main screen is only 1600×720 on an IPS panel, while rivals around this price increasingly offer sharper Full HD+ displays and, in some cases, AMOLED. The Unisoc T615 is an entry-level chip, and the lack of 5G hurts future-proofing as low-cost 5G phones become more common. A 5,000mAh battery is still solid, but 18W charging is unremarkable. The bigger concern is software support. Acer Mobile Latam has not detailed a long update commitment, while competitors such as Samsung are pushing multi-year support even on affordable models. In 2026, that matters as much as raw specs because updates affect security, app compatibility, and resale value. So the A15 is not obsolete if judged as a feature-led budget phone for cost-conscious buyers. But if the benchmark is display quality, connectivity, and long-term support, it arrives behind stronger rivals and may age faster than they do.

Acer Mobile Latam has introduced the Sospiro A15, a budget smartphone expected to cost about $150 to $250 and ship this summer in Latin America.
The standout feature is a 1.88-inch full-color rear display that works for notifications, music controls and as a selfie viewfinder—a feature usually reserved for $1,000-plus flagship phones.
The rest of the hardware stays firmly budget: a 6.67-inch 720p 120Hz IPS screen, Unisoc T615 chip, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, 5,000 mAh battery and 18W charging.
Acer is also adding extras uncommon at this price, including microSD expansion up to 1TB, NFC with Google Wallet support, a side fingerprint reader and IP64 splash resistance.
The phone will not be sold in the US because it is made by Senwa Global International, which licenses the Acer brand for Latin American electronics rather than Acer's main global operation.
