Modern Warfare 4 Opens Nintendo Switch 2 Beta on Aug. 28 Ahead of Oct. 23 Launch

Aug. 28 marks the start of an open Nintendo Switch 2 beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, with access running through Sept. 1.
The Switch 2 test follows an earlier beta the prior weekend that is limited to players who pre-ordered on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Activision said the beta will include multiple multiplayer maps and modes, up to 19 weapons, new Operators, 3v3 skirmishes and larger tank-supported battles.
Aug. 26 is when Switch 2 reservations open, with more details on that version due closer to the pre-order date.
Aug. 21 will bring the Call of Duty: Next showcase before the game launches on Oct. 23, 2026.
