Summary
13,664 Panasonic NB-G200 toaster ovens sold in the U.S. and Canada are being recalled, with buyers told to stop using them immediately and return them for a full refund.
11,480 units were sold in the U.S. and 2,184 in Canada after Panasonic found the power cord insulation could be inadequately covered by a protective fiberglass sleeve, creating shock or fire hazards.
Five consumer reports reached U.S. regulators, including four cases of tripped circuit breakers or outlets and one oven that stopped working.
The ovens were sold from October 2024 through April 2026 for about $170 at Costco, Amazon and other online retailers; Panasonic said it had no incident or injury reports in Canada as of June 15.
