Summary
More than 1.719 million Conair-made Cuisinart grill brushes were recalled after the CPSC said loose bristles can stick to grills or food and be swallowed.
At least 54 reports and reviews said bristles detached, including three cases in which consumers needed medical treatment to remove a bristle from the throat or digestive tract.
The recall covers brushes with black plastic, stainless steel or wooden handles marked “Cuisinart,” including models CCB-100, CCB-4125, CCB-5014, CCB-6450, CCB-8012, CCB-4114, CCB-W2 and CSBS-777.
The brushes were sold at Burlington, TJ Maxx, Ross, Amazon and Cuisinart from June 2009 through March 2026 for $8 to $20; consumers were told to stop using them and seek a refund or Cuisinart credit from Conair.
