DHS said Kaitlyn Tracey, 33, is in ICE custody pending removal proceedings after allegedly slapping a teenage girl on the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk in New Jersey.
Video released Thursday appears to show Tracey confronting the group and striking the teen; a probable-cause affidavit says two friends were wearing sweatpants displaying “Trump” and “ICE.”
DHS said Tracey entered the U.S. on April 14, 2024, on a visa that expired Sept. 6, 2024, and remained in the country after it lapsed; local police later transferred her to federal custody.
Tracey faces assault and child-endangerment charges and is due in Ocean County Superior Court on Aug. 4, while her husband has disputed the severity of the incident and sought immigration legal help.
