Summary
Motorola said its silicon-carbon phone batteries average 1,000 to 1,200 charge cycles before falling to 80% capacity, giving its latest devices a durability edge over Apple and Google phones.
EU energy-label filings show the Edge 70 at 1,000 cycles, while the Edge 70 Pro and most 2026 Razr models are rated at 1,200, with one Edge 70 Fusion variant also reaching 1,200.
Apple and Google currently rate their phones for 1,000 cycles to 80% capacity, while Samsung's flagships lead at 2,000 cycles, leaving Motorola ahead of some rivals but well behind the top end.
That also puts Motorola below several newer silicon-carbon competitors, including the OnePlus 15R at 1,300 cycles, Nothing Phone 3 at 1,400 and HONOR Magic 8 Pro at 1,600.
