Summary
Chinese C3 certification filings point to the iPhone 18 Pro at 4,056mAh in China and 4,288mAh in the U.S., while the Pro Max is listed at 5,391mAh and 5,567mAh.
That marks only a small rise from the iPhone 17 Pro, but a much larger jump for the Pro Max—up roughly 500mAh from 4,823mAh in China and 5,088mAh in the U.S.
U.S. capacities run higher because Apple’s U.S. iPhones have been eSIM-only since the iPhone 14, freeing space otherwise used by a physical SIM tray in other markets.
The filings also list battery models, energy ratings up to 21.751Wh and validity through May or June 2031, reinforcing a June leak that gave the same iPhone 18 Pro figures.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro lineup in September, with leakers saying the larger 5,391mAh China cell and a 2nm A20 Pro chip could improve battery life.
