Google Tests CapCut Export in Photos 7.83, Prompting Play Store Downloads

Google Photos version 7.83.0.943371825 includes an internally tested export-sheet change that lets users send selected videos directly to CapCut for editing.
If CapCut is not installed, the new shortcut sends users to its Play Store listing, showing Google is pairing the edit option with an app-download prompt.
The tweak is not live publicly and was activated only through package modification, while a three-dot button still opens the standard Android share sheet.
Google has pushed CapCut in Photos before—testing Memories edit prompts last year, rolling out Photos Recap editing later, and announcing a CapCut-Gemini collaboration in May without details.
