Q: Can this slim 5,000mAh power bank truly satisfy today's power-hungry flagship smartphones?

Not really—at least not as a full-satisfaction solution for today’s most demanding flagship phones. The Baseus PicoGo Air’s 5,000mAh rating is best understood as an emergency top-up or light daily companion, not a true all-day backup for heavy users. In real use, a 5,000mAh power bank does not deliver the full 5,000mAh to a phone. Conversion losses typically leave roughly 3,500 to 4,000mAh usable by cable, and less over wireless charging, which is notably less efficient. That matters because many 2026 flagship phones now carry batteries around 5,000mAh, while some battery-focused models stretch to 6,000mAh, 7,000mAh or more. That means the PicoGo Air will usually give a substantial boost, but often not a full recharge for larger flagships. Over its 7.5W magnetic wireless mode, it is even more limited, making it better for convenience charging than for quickly rescuing a drained phone. Its 22.5W wired charging is more practical and efficient, and for compact phones or devices with smaller batteries it may come close to a full refill. Where the PicoGo Air stands out is portability. At 6.9mm thick and 105g, it is designed to disappear into a pocket, and its semi-solid-state cells, thermal controls, and app-based battery diagnostics add safety and usability. But users with power-hungry phones, long travel days, or multi-device needs will likely be better served by the 10,000mAh PicoGo AM52, which offers meaningfully more capacity and faster wireless and wired charging.

Baseus unveiled the PicoGo Air as the thinnest model in its PicoGo series, pairing a 5,000mAh magnetic battery with a 6.9mm ultra-slim body aimed at everyday top-ups.
The new model uses semi-solid-state battery cells, an aluminum-alloy body and a fire-resistant glass-fiber charging surface to keep the pack light and pocket-friendly.
Safety is a central pitch: its cooling system combines graphene, aerogel insulation and intelligent controls that monitor temperature up to 18,000 times an hour, while NFC links the battery to live diagnostics in the Baseus app.
Baseus positioned the Air alongside the earlier PicoGo AM52, a 10,000mAh option with up to 25W Qi2.2 wireless charging, 45W USB-C output and support for charging three devices at once.
Together, the two products broaden the PicoGo range for commuters, travelers and multi-device users, with the Air focused on minimal bulk and the AM52 on higher-capacity, faster charging.
