Q: Is the PicoGo Air's ultra-slim design worth its high price and weak magnetic grip?

For most buyers, probably not. The PicoGo Air’s 7mm body is genuinely impressive and makes it one of the easiest 5,000mAh power banks to slip into a pocket or keep attached to a phone without much bulk. If your top priority is the thinnest possible everyday backup battery, that design has real appeal. But the slimness comes with clear trade-offs. Reviews say the hard plastic finish and physically limited magnets reduce holding strength compared with thicker magnetic packs, making the attachment feel less secure, especially with cases. It also runs warm at about 41C in use, lacks newer Qi 2.2 support, and its 5,000mAh capacity is modest once normal conversion losses are factored in. The charging specs are decent rather than class-leading: 15W wireless and 22.5W wired. The NFC-based app monitoring is a distinctive extra, giving battery health and temperature data, but it is more of a convenience feature than a reason alone to pay a premium. That premium is the main issue. At about 60 euros, the PicoGo Air faces cheaper rivals with similar or better value, including Baseus’s own older PicoGo AM42, which reviewers say delivers similar performance, is only slightly thicker, and costs less than half as much. Other brands also offer 10,000mAh models near this price. So the PicoGo Air makes sense mainly for buyers willing to pay extra for extreme thinness and style. If you care more about value, stronger magnetic grip, or battery capacity, better options are available.
