St. Louis Park said Mohamed remains in Somalia and that the trip was personal, privately funded and unrelated to city business; Council Member Yolanda Farris is serving as mayor pro tem.
The dispute flared after reports and social media video showed Mohamed in Mogadishu alongside Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud during the U.S. 250th anniversary weekend.
