Summary
New road signs are going up along James L. Turnage Boulevard ahead of Thursday’s official renaming of Palm Beach International Airport to President Donald J. Trump International Airport.
The installation follows new I-95 exit signs that already replaced “PBI” with the airport’s new name, extending the phased rebranding to motorists approaching the terminal.
Airport officials said flights, security procedures and daily operations will continue normally during the transition, with interior signs, baggage tags and other branding updates due in coming weeks.
Aug. 18 marks the next major switch, when the airport’s public-facing code changes from PBI to DJT for reservation systems and passenger tickets, backed by $2.75 million in Florida state funding.
