The discounts follow the Iran war, which pushed some UK families away from destinations near the conflict or routes crossing Middle Eastern airspace, even after the Foreign Office lifted its advice against travel to Dubai.
Spain, Portugal and Greece moved the other way, with package prices up 3-5%; a family of four could pay up to £160 more for Spain, taking the total to as much as £4,340.
Bookings have picked up since last month's US-Iran ceasefire, but agents say travelers are still shortening trips and switching to alternatives such as Montenegro, Malta and Madeira to manage costs.
