Escape from Violet Hold is now live, adding 135 collectible cards to Hearthstone in a jailbreak-themed expansion set in Azeroth’s maximum-security prison.
Nine Legendary Rulebreaker minions anchor the set, with one for each class designed to break a core Hearthstone rule.
Prepare lets players spend all remaining mana to bank a card in their deck at that amount plus 1 discount for a later turn.
Disguised minions can be played onto an opponent’s board for the first time in Hearthstone, while Bribe cards trade a strong effect for a benefit to the other side.
Patch 36.0 also rolls out an Escape from Violet Hold Tavern Pass with packs, XP boosts, cosmetics and other rewards tied to the expansion launch.
