Highway 15 South Volunteer Fire Department said Tuesday it had immediately released Jesse Milner after his arrest in a Jefferson County child internet stalking case.
The department said it was “shocked and deeply disturbed,” had no knowledge of the alleged conduct, and noted Milner had stayed on its roster but had not actively responded to calls for an extended period.
Milner, 26, of Pine Bluff, was arrested Sunday after a Predator Poachers confrontation that was livestreamed and posted online, with a sheriff’s deputy seen taking him into custody.
Jefferson County jail records list allegations of sexual solicitation of a minor, internet stalking of a child, computer exploitation of a child and sexually grooming a child; as of Monday, formal charges had not been filed.
Authorities have released few details, including whether any actual child was involved, and Milner remains held pending a probable-cause hearing.
