ADM’s new pet longevity report found owner demand is steering wellness product formulations, with preventive care already routine for 54% of pet owners globally.
74% of owners provide exercise or playtime several times a week or more, while 48% feed specialized diets, 38% give supplements and 53% use treats to improve quality of life.
89% of surveyed owners said pet enjoyment is essential in purchase decisions and 88% cited ingredient quality, showing repeat sales depend more on palatability than on price or brand alone.
China and Mexico showed the strongest actual buying of longevity-focused products, the US ranked mid-pack, France was more skeptical of branded functional cues, and UK buyers often needed trials, reviews and trust signals.
The report, based on proprietary consumer insights from China, France, Mexico, the UK and the US, said mobility, digestive and oral health are top concerns and highlighted growing demand for scientifically validated ingredients.
