Summary
Five surgeries in two weeks have left the three-year-old boy still facing at least two more operations after the 18 June attack at Johnsons of Old Hurst in Cambridgeshire.
His parents said doctors still do not know how much feeling, movement and function he will regain in his arms, wrists and hands until casts and bandages are removed and rehabilitation begins.
About £26,000 has been raised for the family, which said it has been effectively living at the hospital while also caring for a newborn baby.
Police previously said the child was seriously injured while in the enclosure; a 30-year-old Norfolk man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, then bailed until 18 September after being deemed unfit for interview.
