Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation said its new short-term employment program will place university students, graduates and TVET trainees across departments to give them direct workplace experience.
LWSC said the scheme is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional practice, helping participants build job-ready skills and improve their competitiveness for long-term employment.
The launch targets a major barrier in Liberia's labor market, where many young graduates struggle to find work because employers demand prior experience despite academic qualifications.
LWSC framed the initiative as part of a broader human-capital strategy, extending its role beyond water and sanitation services to support youth empowerment and national economic development.
