Summary
Revelations arrives on PS5 on July 7 as paid DLC for DOOM: The Dark Ages, adding six new story levels and unlocking a new endgame after the campaign is cleared.
10 to 12 hours of content centers on the new Chain Spear, which replaces the Shield Saw in the expansion and must be mastered and leveled up to handle the DLC’s steeper difficulty.
The endgame sends players back through expanded routes, Astral Key and Master Arena challenges, an Uber Boss, and Ripatorium unlocks, giving the add-on a replay loop id Software says is new for the series.
Classic DOOM 2-inspired stages also return as modern recreations, while a revived hub area adds puzzles and Metroidvania-style exploration beyond the main missions.
id Software says Revelations is roughly the size of DOOM Eternal’s two-part The Ancient Gods DLC combined, making it one of the studio’s largest post-launch expansions.
