Summary
Matteson police said 26-year-old Dylan Perkins died after being shot multiple times outside Amazon's facility at 7001 Vollmer Road around 10:54 p.m. Sunday.
Witnesses and surveillance footage indicate Perkins and a food delivery driver argued in the parking lot, the dispute turned physical, and the driver then shot him several times.
Perkins was taken to St. James Hospital and pronounced dead; police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force are still working to identify the suspect.
Amazon said it is supporting employees and Perkins' family while cooperating with investigators, and police said there is no threat to the public.
