Summary
June 23 court records show Karen Derrico pleaded not guilty after her arrest and arraignment on four felony counts tied to alleged threats against ex-husband Deon Derrico.
Authorities say she violated an April protection order on June 17 by emailing Deon non-parenting messages, including, “I want you dead” and threats against children who took his side.
A criminal complaint also cites a May 2 threat in which she allegedly warned Deon to “watch out,” said she was getting a gun or would have someone kill him before court, supporting aggravated stalking and witness-dissuasion charges.
Her lawyer, Jess Marchese, called the allegations “completely false” and said they were fabricated by Deon; Karen is due back in court on Aug. 6.
The case escalates an earlier report of misdemeanor allegations after the former TLC couple—parents of 14 children featured on Doubling Down With the Derricos—divorced in 2024.
