Xreal has opened reservations for its Aura mixed-reality glasses, due this fall, with the device set to debut “Fallout: Factions” instead of bringing the next Fallout title to Xbox.
The new game is built around Aura’s Android XR platform, using gesture controls and 3D maps that overlay onto a physical table through the headset’s optical see-through display.
Priced at more than $700, Aura is Xreal’s first standalone mixed-reality device and includes a 57-degree field of view, 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD resolution.
That combination positions Aura against Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest 3, with Xreal using a recognizable game franchise to draw attention ahead of launch.
