Microsoft has not published detailed battery-life figures or provided a user-facing toggle to disable the feature. So while there is a theoretical power cost, there is no strong evidence yet of a significant real-world penalty. For now, the best reading is that Windows 11 is trading tiny, short-lived power spikes for noticeably faster responsiveness, with little measurable impact on battery life.
