June 19 events at Emancipation Park will start at 1 p.m. with a domino tournament, where teams pay a $50 entry fee to compete for a cash prize.
At 4 p.m., Juneteenth: The Reunion will shift the celebration toward a family-friendly festival with live performances spanning R&B, gospel, Southern soul, hip-hop and jazz.
A second domino tournament for bragging rights, a Kids Zone, an All-White Affair dress theme and local food vendors round out the program.
The gatherings are designed to commemorate Juneteenth, the day marking the end of slavery in the United States, with park rules barring alcohol, weapons, fireworks, pets and outside food except for infants or health needs.
