Summary
Imperial Business School students used London Tech Week to pitch start-ups to investors and industry leaders, with MSc student Tanushri Bhuruk winning a £1,000 cash grant at the IEM Demo Day.
Enso, Bhuruk’s mental health app, is already live on the App Store and has users in five countries, helping people track emotions through guided journaling and find suitable therapists.
The Demo Day capped a year-long Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management programme in which students built and refined ventures before pitching live to judges, alumni and early-stage investors.
Across 8-12 June, students also worked the Imperial stand, testing ideas and gathering feedback in what many described as a first high-profile chance to move ventures beyond the classroom.
The event formed part of Imperial’s experiential learning push, using major innovation forums to help student founders stress-test ideas, meet backers and turn concepts into scalable businesses.
