Hochul Mocks JD Vance After He Calls Her 'Katie' at 2 Long Island Rally Moments

Kathy Hochul fired back Thursday after JD Vance called her “Katie” at least twice during a Long Island rally for GOP House candidate Mike LiPetri.
“It’s still Kathy,” Hochul wrote on social media, adding, “Not everyone changes their name every year” — a jab at Vance’s multiple name changes before and during his political rise.
Vance used the rally to attack Democratic Rep. Thomas Suozzi, telling supporters Suozzi “doesn’t represent you, he represents her,” while trying to tie the congressman to New York’s Democratic governor.
The exchange added to a rough week for the vice president, who also drew criticism over a tense “The View” appearance and Republican backlash to the agreement ending the Iran war.
