Google Releases Health App v5.02 With 13+ Features as It Tries to Reverse Fitbit Backlash

Summary
Version 5.02 is rolling out now on iOS and Android, adding at least 13 changes aimed at restoring missing functions and smoothing the Google Health experience.
Key additions bring back hourly activity charts, add an expanded Today metrics view, simplify metric reordering, and fully support deleting sleep sessions while fixing sleep-editing bugs.
Sleep and nutrition also get targeted upgrades: naps are easier to find on Android, restlessness sits closer to sleep-stage data, food search is faster, and macro estimates now appear before logging.
Third-party data management is looser too, with users able to delete synced exercise, food, and weight logs directly in the app in many cases, though some Apple Health and Health Connect deletions still redirect out.
The release follows negative reactions after Google's Fitbit-to-Health transition, with iOS still waiting for some 5.03 features already flagged as coming soon.
