Late 2027 is the current target for Apple’s camera-equipped AirPods, which Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said are already being tested internally with iOS 28.
Cameras in the stems and cloud-upload indicator lights would give a more advanced Siri visual context about a user’s surroundings, positioning the earbuds as a step toward Apple smart glasses.
A second-generation folding iPhone is also in the works, following a first foldable model Gurman expects Apple to unveil this fall, signaling a longer-term push into the category.
For 2027, Gurman also pointed to “20th anniversary” iPhones with nearly edge-to-edge displays and curved side glass, while some models could move from A20 chips to 2nm A21 silicon.
