Rockstar Offers Free GTA V Upgrades Starting June 18 as GTA VI Nears Nov. 19 Launch

June 18 marks the start of Rockstar’s free GTA V upgrade offer for players who own any PS4 version or the digital Xbox One edition, letting them move to PS5 or Xbox Series X/S at no extra cost.
The offer spares eligible players from buying a new current-gen copy for $39.99 or paying a separate upgrade fee just months before GTA VI arrives.
Rockstar disclosed the move in a GTA Online update, which will add new heists at the Kortz Center in July.
GTA VI is still due on Nov. 19, with no new trailer or price announced yet, even as other publishers reportedly shift release plans to avoid competing with it.
