Apple One Adds 4 HomeKit Upgrades and Higher AI Limits in iOS 27

Q: With HomeKit finally getting 4K video, which smart camera brands will be ready for the launch?

No camera brand has been publicly confirmed as “ready” for HomeKit Secure Video’s 4K launch yet. Apple has announced 4K streaming and recording support in iOS 27, but the rollout depends on camera makers updating compatible hardware, and neither Apple nor major vendors have named launch-ready models. Based on what is known today, the brands best positioned are Aqara, Eve and Logitech, because they already sell HomeKit Secure Video-compatible cameras. Those products should be the most likely candidates to gain 4K support if their sensors and firmware can handle it, but there is no official launch list. Eufy is the other brand worth watching from a hardware standpoint. Reporting around HomeKit-compatible cameras points to at least one Eufy model with 4K-capable hardware, the Eufy E330 4K PoE, and several other higher-resolution cameras in its lineup. The catch is that current HomeKit support has historically been capped well below that, and there is still no confirmation that Eufy will enable Apple’s new 4K mode at launch. So the practical answer is that Apple has opened the door, but brand readiness remains unannounced. If you want a safer bet for day-one compatibility, watch for firmware announcements from Aqara, Eve and Logitech. If you want the strongest evidence of existing 4K camera hardware that could benefit, Eufy appears technically well placed, but not yet confirmed.
