Summary
July 9 is the Japan launch date for Sharp’s first smart ring, the Karada Mate Ring MH-R01, priced at ¥44,800 and built around a titanium body.
Four sensors from SOXAI technology track heart rate, blood oxygen, skin temperature, steps and sleep, while the companion app breaks sleep into light, deep and awake periods.
Up to 14 days of battery life is Sharp’s headline claim, with charging via cradle and durability rated at IPX8 water resistance, IP6X dust protection and tolerance for soap and alcohol disinfection.
600 yen a month unlocks coaching on diet, sleep, exercise and physical condition, but Sharp says the ring is a wellness device only, not for diagnosis or treatment.
Japan is the only confirmed market so far, and Sharp says the product remains in development ahead of release, leaving room for final spec or design changes.
