$99 Fitbit Air emerged as the stronger overall pick against the $349 Oura Ring 4, with the comparison favoring Fitbit for value, workout tracking and battery life.
Price drove much of the gap: Fitbit includes full core stats in its free app and three months of premium service, while Oura locks most data behind a $69.99 annual membership after one free month.
In testing, Fitbit lasted 8 days versus just over 7 days for Oura and showed more detailed workout data, including specific heart-rate readings during interval sessions.
Oura Ring 4 still led on sleep tracking and style, offering richer overnight metrics and a more jewelry-like design, but the review said Fitbit is the better fit for most buyers seeking unobtrusive health tracking.
