Summary
Six men were charged and arrested after prosecutors said they abducted two people at gunpoint from Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort on May 29 and took them to a Broward boat ramp.
Court documents say the group used semiautomatic weapons, masks and gloves, threatened to kill the victims and their families, and demanded money while robbing phones, jewelry, clothing and other belongings.
At the West Broward Boat Ramp, the victims were allegedly forced to kneel, stripped to their underwear, and one was made to send $400 by Zelle as a suspect threatened to torture him and burn off a tattoo.
The episode unraveled after the suspects worried one victim's ankle monitor could reveal their location and later threw the other from a car when he faked a seizure; both reached safety.
FBI investigators said they recovered burned clothing, other victim property and surveillance footage, while messages between a female suspect and Saul Alfonso Fajardo allegedly referenced the assault and urged deleting Instagram.
