That matters because phones like the Xiaomi 17T Pro and Samsung’s own S26 Ultra offer clearly stronger raw hardware, yet the A57 is still drawing more attention. AI is part of that appeal. Samsung is pushing Galaxy AI and “Awesome Intelligence” features such as photo editing, search, transcription, and productivity tools. More broadly, market data shows on-device AI has become a major upgrade driver, especially in premium phones, with 38% of surveyed users in North America and Europe citing AI as their main reason to upgrade in 2025. But the A57 does not prove AI matters more than power in every case. It shows that in the mid-range, buyers often value practical intelligence, software polish, battery life, and price more than maximum speed.
