If he loses, the White House setting will remain the bigger story. ESPN’s expert panel put Alex Pereira vs. Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title at No. 1 among seven bouts on Sunday’s UFC Freedom 250 card at the White House.
Pereira-Gane topped the list because of its striking matchup and the chance for Pereira to become the UFC’s first 3-division titleholder, while champion Tom Aspinall recovers from an eye injury.
Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje ranked No. 2 despite headlining the event, with ESPN citing Topuria’s 17-0 record and title stakes but noting his roughly -500 favorite status lowers the suspense.
